Clark Auto has been in business since 1970. Our founder, Mike Clark grew up in Baltimore City, near the old Memorial Stadium. He began his career working in sales for a tire manufacturer, selling to large wholesalers throughout the US. In 1970, he went into business for himself, selling tires wholesale to small dealers and service stations. By 1978 he had established Clark Auto in the retail market as well. He had additional locations over the years, but sold them in the 1990's to focus on the location where it all began, on Harford Road in the Hamilton/Parkville Area.

Many of our customer's have been customers for decades, some dating back to the 70's. We are still here after all these years due to our customer's 'word-of-mouth' advertising. Mike has often said that Clark Auto has 'the best customer's in Baltimore', and being here after over 50 years is a good indication that he is right!

In 2004 Paul Crum started working at Clark Auto and over the years he has advanced to Lead Tech and then to Manager. He became a business partner in 2015 and in 2023, as Mike has decided to retire, Paul is taking the torch and continuing the legacy of Clark Auto.
